Well, Well. First off i'd like to welcome you to the literature board. This board is meant to discuss literature, discuss books, and share some of your work. Some rules i'd like to pass by you are quite simple, and well I really shouldn't call them rules. As we all know rules are meant to be broken, so we will just call them guidelines. Guidelines -This board is meant for posting your work, and discussing literature.
-If you are going to rate a peers work please do not post "OMFG!!! WeLL DoNe!!!! 10/10!!" As that is not a rate. A rate should consist of a minimum of three lines and include Comments, Criticism, and suggestions.
-Please proofread all material and make sure it is appropriate for a 13+ Audience.
-Mainly just try to use common sense. And most importantly abide by the Proboards TOS.Thankyou, and please remember this board is supposed to be enjoyable for everyone. Thanksyou! PittStop Staff

Hey, I'm Anthrocoatl, the other mod of this area. Just thought I'd add a few things:
1. This board will be made read-only, so that all authors who post in here maintain first-rights for their work. That means that if you should, by some stroke of luck, manage to publish a piece you posted in here, the publisher can't screw you out of the money you deserve by saying that you have already published the piece in a public manner.
2. Maintain the distinction between critique, and criticism. A critique gives whys. If you don't tell them why their work sucks, they can't very well fix it, can they?
3. Accept harsh critiques. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. I personally will not pander to you to make sure that you believe you're the next Rowling. I will tell you everything I like and dislike, along with a why. If you don't like it, don't post your work here.
4. By posting here, you affirm that you are an aspiring writer. That means if you screw up your grammar, I will not hesitate to eat you for it. Keep that in mind, and spell check your work.
5. Posts in LOTE (Languages Other Than English) are forbidden by Proboards TOS. However, if you are ESL (English Second Language) feel free to post a thread saying "I have a story/poem/essay/whatever written in <insert language here>. Would anyone like to read it?" When they say they do, PM it to them, thus keeping to the TOS. Do not feel discouraged if people don't respond. I'm monolingual myself, and I would wager most people here are.
6. Do not whine about not getting critiques. Critiquing literature is a long, time consuming job, and one not handled every moment. Carrying a link in your signature is fine. Carrying a size thirty link that is bright red, bold, underlined, and flashing, is not. Use your common sense.
I, for one, will be reading this forum every day, or every few days, and critiquing where I feel qualified to do so. I believe nest! will do so as well.
Have fun, and don't run with pencils.
